This course offers students the opportunity to develop intermediate-level mastery of the foundational knowledge and skills needed to function effectively as a Mechanical Engineering Associate..

The course learning outcomes allow you to demonstrate achievement against the program graduate capabilities and elements at an intermediate level. This course, together with the other courses in the engineering program core and major deliver learning to satisfy the program graduate capabilities and elements, mapped to the Engineers Australia Stage 1 Competency Standards.

The course is delivered through a series of on-demand, active learning modules. Each module is assessed separately and needs to be successfully completed to pass the course. Your learning is supported through our Learning Communities that provide you with opportunities for synchronous and asynchronous engagement through workshops and discussion forums.

This course has listed co-requisites. The intention is that students complete these courses as pre-requisites (i.e. study them in an earlier trimester) to be fully prepared for this course. However, these courses are available as co-requisites where a student is repeating the pre-requisite course and is confident that they can successfully proceed with this course at the same time.
