SynopsisIt explores the contribution of psychology in sport, exercise, recreation and rehabilitation settings by highlighting concerns and encouraging discussion of relevant issues. Through this process, students will develop greater awareness of the knowledge base, key skills, and professional responsibilities demanded of psychologists and researchers working in the field of sport and exercise psychology.

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

Identify and describe major knowledge, methodologies, and data concepts in sport and exercise psychology.

Solve sport/exercise problems by applying theories and findings to analyse and resolve instances of problem behaviour.

Combine theories and findings to distinguish the role of psychology in sport, exercise, rehabilitation, and physical activity behaviour.
