SynopsisThis course aims to provide the graduate construction professionals an understanding of commercial construction management processes, techniques and systems. This course also seeks to provide information and knowledge that will assist the professional in evaluating and proposing alternative construction systems that may benefit the project outcome.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:

Plan and implement the commercial construction project management process from pre-construction to completion
2.
Investigate the principals of sustainable commercial construction
3.
Analyse and interpret construction drawings related to commercial constructions
4.
Effectively communicate proposals to management that benefit the project in terms of considerations such as time, cost, safety, risk and quality
5.
Evaluate construction process for commercial projects
6.
Demonstrate written and communication skills to a professional standard.

Assessments

Assessment due dates (as listed in Week Due) are indicative until finalised by the end of Week 1 for each Study Period (Offering).
